Assistant Principals

Assistant Principal Brittany Law

“Ms. Law’s vast instructional knowledge and passion for supporting families will add to our legacy of serving students as they learn and grow,” Ledford-Lyle said. “We are excited to welcome her to our team.” 

Law was an assistant principal at a middle school in Gwinnett County where she oversees

connections courses and testing for the entire school. She was previously an eighth grade STEM, English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher at Twin Rivers Middle School in Buford. She has also taught at South Effingham Middle School.

“I am really excited about the growth taking place in Jackson County and the commitment to being a school system that continuously improves,” Law said. “I am really excited to get to work with a new staff, new community. I cannot wait to work alongside Dr. Ledford-Lyle and the team at Legacy Knoll Middle School.”

Law has served on the Gwinnett County Public Schools Literacy Leadership and Assessment Leadership Teams and graduated from the GCPS Teacher as Leaders program, among other leadership duties throughout the duration of her career.

Law holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Mississippi State University and a Masters of Education in Middle Grades Education from the University of Georgia, along with an Tier 1 Educational Leadership Certificate from UGA. 

Assistant Principal Daniela McLean

Legacy Knoll Middle School has hired Ms. Daniela McLean as an assistant principal beginning for the 2023-24 school year. 

McLean was approved by the Board of Education during the Thursday night work session. McLean currently serves as the ESOL and Title 1 Teacher at Oconee County Middle School.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. McLean to the Legacy Knoll Middle School team. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experiences to LKMS,” LKMS Principal Dr. Miriam Ledford-Lyle said. “We will benefit from her vast experiences in working with students from varied backgrounds. She will help us craft an atmosphere in which students pursue excellence in a supportive environment.” 

McLean, who was named the 2020-21 Teacher of the Year for Oconee County Middle School, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Georgia. She also holds a Master of Education Degree in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University, along with an Tier 1 Educational Leadership Certificate from KSU. McLean holds endorsements in ESOL, Reading, Middle Grades Language Arts, Middle Grades Math and Middle Grades Science.
